This morning on the deck of my friend Lisa’s house in the Hollywood Hills, I looked up to see two beautiful black birds circling each other over and over, gliding and swirling almost in an ecstasy of motion, before flying off together. It was beautiful to behold and felt so uplifting.  This is the second time in less than a month I’ve seen such a passionate display. In Carl Schurz park recently I watched two butterflies fluttering and spiraling around and around each other, seemingly caught in a vortex of energy that lifted them higher and higher. I watched for 10 minutes entranced. It  looked just as I had pictured the love dance that our souls perform when reunited with our soul mates in the afterlife.
