Waiting for signs that Laura is healing.  Waiting for news about my mum’s operation. It requires the patience of a saint.  And on days like today it feels overwhelming. Probably due to the stress, Laura and I are both achey, tired, sniffly and generally under the weather.

The good news is the nurses say that my mum’s operation went well.  It took just under 5 hours today and she had 3 veins grafted from her legs and mammary glands onto her heart.  She hasn’t yet come round fully from the anesthetic.  We’re hoping and praying she is sleeping and healing, and that her body knows best.  We’ll know more tomorrow.  In the meantime, more waiting.
