If we had a car, this is what it would look like. Our weekly shopping feels as if we are catering to a ravenous pony (all the carrots, apples and oats) and a coffee addict. Here’s Laura’s weekly shop list (all organic) –
60 Granny Smith apples
50 gallons of distilled water
30 lbs of carrots
3 lbs coffee
15 large potatoes
4 lbs thick rolled oats
4 lbs tomatos
4 lbs red onions
8 plums
6 endive
6 green peppers
4 pears
4 bananas
3 swiss chard
3 romaine lettuce
3 red cabbage
2 celeriac (celery roots)
2 leeks
2 zucchini
2 bunches beets (with tops)
2 bunches parsley
2 heads garlic
1 lb grapes
1 butternut squash
1 head cauliflower
1 head broccoli
1 sweet potato
1 bunch cilantro
1 bottle cold pressed flax oil
1 bottle castor oil
handful of quinoa
AND not forgetting –
10 toilet rolls
30 maxi pads
12 paper towels
64 oz hydrogen peroxide
7 Ziploc freezer bags (for the juicer cloths)
4 scotch brite sponges
1 toilet bowl cleaner
1 dish soap
small Dr Bronner’s liquid soap
small 7th Generation laundry soap
few ounces white wine vinegar (for cleaning)
